Early Times Report

Jammu, July 30: It’s official that the ongoing era of peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir since the abrogation of its so called special status has left Pakistan jealous and exposed before the world community.
In yet another masterstroke, the Modi government in June this year passed through Jammu and Kashmir, the torch for the 44th Chess Olympiad, which started in Tamil Nadu on July 28. Pakistan which was scheduled to take part in the event, refused to participate at the eleventh hour, raising the “same old and weird tale of Kashmir issue.”
“The torch relay passed through Srinagar on 21 June 2022. By passing the torch relay through IIOJK, in utter disregard of the globally acknowledged ‘disputed’ status of the territory, India has committed a travesty that the international community cannot accept under any circumstances,” Pakistan said in the grossly unlawful and venomous statement.
“Pakistan also strongly urges the international community to call upon India to end its gross and systematic violations of human rights in IIOJK, revoke its illegal and unilateral actions of 5 August 2019, and free all political prisoners including the true Kashmiri leaders,” the statement added.
Reacting strongly to the Pakistan’s decision of not participating in the event, the Ministry of External Affairs’ (MEA) spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said it was surprising that Pakistan had suddenly taken the decision not to participate in the event.
“It is highly unfortunate that Pakistan has politicised the prestigious international event by making such statements and withdrawing its participation after its team has already reached India,” he said.
Bagchi asserted that the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh “have been, are and will remain an integral part of India”.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Olympiad in Tamil Nadu’s Mamallapuram on July 28. This is the first time India is hosting the marquee event.
Observers said the masterstroke of the decisions taken by the Modi government on August 5, 2019 has left the enemy country frustrated that it was now feeling jealous of the era of peace and prosperity in J&K.
Just recently the Modi government told the Parliament that over 1.5 crore tourists have visited Kashmir in the first six months of 2022 alone.
The people of Kashmir have been minting fortunes since the abrogation of the so called special status of J&K and the jealously of Pakistan and its sinister designs are getting exposed.
