| Poonch: Woman, buffalo die of electric shock | | Family members of deceased lady accuse JKPDCL of negligence | | Rajesh Tandon

Poonch, Aug 6: A woman and a buffalo died due to an electric shock in far-flung Panchayat Danna Dhakran of tehsil Mandi in this frontier district.
Reportedly, a lady was grazing her cattle in a village, a hanging wire caught one of her buffalos, she tried to save it but she too was electrocuted.
Family members of the deceased accused JKPDCL employees of negligence, said, “The wire was hanging over the road for two days and none of the employees came to restore it and finally this hanging wire has killed our family member and a buffalo”.
Soon after the incident SHO Mandi Mukhtar Ali reached the spot. After post mortem, the body was handed over to her heirs.
They urged Lieutenant Governor and Deputy Commissioner Poonch to act against the erring officials. |
