Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 21: Coordinator Jammu District (Urban) and Zonal Secretary Dr Vikas Sharma today said that National Conference alone was a party that has acceptability in both the regions of Jammu and Kashmir and can guarantee their equitable development.
While interacting with youth at Bathindi, Dr. Vikas Sharma said that eversince BJP took over the reign into its hand, besides general public, majority of youth have totally been broken and gone into a state of desperation due to anti youth policies of the present government.
He said that growing unemployment was a matter of great concern as the present regime has miserably failed to create job opportunities for the youth.
He said that few forces are working to divide people on the communal and regional lines which will be given befitting reply at appropriate time. “The country is presently going through a state of crisis.
The graph of the inflation is on the rise constantly and the prices of essential commodities are sky rocketing, but still BJP is claiming of good governance which is ridiculous ” he added.
He reiterated the party’s stand with respect to restoration of statehood with full powers to address the aspirations of people.
He reiterated that people have suffered a lot during the last three years, especially after the abrogation of Article 370, bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir and downgrading of State to a Union Territory.
He said that NC is fighting and will continue its fight till restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
While sharing the achievements and good work done by National Conference during its governance, Dr. Vikas disclosed that during NC Government when Jenab Omar Abdullah was Chief Minister, he provided Degree College in each tehsil of erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir as even buildings and faculty were also made available to start functioning of colleges. But this government did nothing to improve the structural facilities in the colleges, he added.
He said that if voted to power NC would ensure jobs and land security to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr Vikas Sharma further said that we have standing instructions from our party President Dr Farooq Abdhulla to keep in constant touch with the people at the grass root level and take note of their problems for appropriate solution and timely disposal.
