After Cong, Apni Party next target of Azad group
9/1/2022 11:32:18 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 1: After luring as many leaders from Congress, the next target of the group led by Ghulam Nabi Azad will be the newly formed Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party.
The leadership of the Apni Party has reason to be worried because many leaders of the party owe their allegiance to Ghulam Nabi Azad.
It is an open secret that many leaders of the Apni Party are known supporters of Ghulam Nabi Azad so it is believed that they will join Azad’s camp in the coming days.
Already former MLA and prominent leader of Apni Party Shoiab Nabi Lone joined group led by Ghulam Nabi Azad.
In a letter, Shoiab said that he along with his delegates and colleagues extends his full support to Ghulam Nabi Azad and assures him that they will fully honour his every decision.
Shoaib is the first prominent leader from Apni Party to join Azad- led camp, which has so far seen the only entry of political leaders from Congress.
Sources said that half a dozen former MLAs of the Apni Party are already in touch with Azad and they will take a final decision in the coming days. Important to mention here that the Apni Party founder president has attacked Azad and charged that he (Azad) hand in glove with the BJP over the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35(A).
He said the former Congress leader struck a hidden deal with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and held him responsible for stripping down the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
“The former J&K CM was hand in glove with the BJP over the revocation of Article 370. People of J&K know everything. They know with whom you have shaken hands. They know with whom you had struck a hidden deal and thus backstabbed the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
