Double standards: On one hand Sharif thanks PM Modi, on other extends support to terrorism in Kashmir | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 2: Duplicity of Pakistan government has been exposed because on the one hand Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his condolences over the human and material losses caused by floods in Pakistan while on the other hand he extended support to terrorism in Kashmir Valley. On the first death anniversary of radical Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Pak Prime Minister supported Syed Ali Shah Geelani, who was responsible for terrorism in J&K. “Syed Ali Geelani personified the very essence of Kashmiris' struggle. Frail in body but firm in resolve, he powered the resistance movement with belief in the idea of freedom from Indian yoke. Geelani sahib remains as relevant to the freedom struggle today as he was in life.” Pak Prime Minister tweeted. On the other hand while responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s condolence, he said expressed his thanks to Prime Minister of India. Prime Minister Modi on Monday offered his “heartfelt condolences” to the victims and their families in a tweet. “Saddened to see the devastation caused by the floods in Pakistan,” Modi wrote. “We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, the injured and all those affected by this natural calamity and hope for an early restoration of normalcy,” Modi had written on his official Twitter handle. "With their characteristic resilience the people of Pakistan shall, InshaAllah, overcome the adverse effects of this natural calamity & rebuild their lives and communities," PM Shehbaz said in his tweet on Thursday. |
