BHADARWAH, Sept 4: The resignation of Ghulam Nabi Azad from Congress Party has marked the beginning of end of Congress party from the soil of J&K as scores of his supporters have joined the tirade by following the pursuit of quitting the party. This was stated by senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta while interacting with several deputations during his visit to Bhadarwah. He said not only the J&K is verge of becoming Congress-free but the prevailing condition of Congress is indicating that soon Congress-Mukt Bharat will also be a reality as party leaders leaving the sinking ship has been in vogue with outgoing leaders of the oldest party speaking out against those sitting at helm and not listening to anybody. The former deputy Chief Minister said that it was the wrong policies of Congress and Pt Jawaharlal Nehru which subjected the people of Jammu region to face discrimination for the last over 70 years. He said that Azad’s departure after 50 years from the Congress is the testimony to the fact that Congress is not the right party and is only promoting dynastic tendencies keeping the people and its genuine leadership in the dark. While congratulating Ghulam Nabi Azad for coming up with a new political front, Kavinder hoped that his new party will work for the welfare of people by addressing their general issues and will also play a significant role in strengthening the country. He also anticipated that Azad would not indulge in confrontational issues like Article 370, etc. He said that a new political front by Azad should bring good fortune for the people of J&K as many faces have posed faith in his leadership, which is good for democracy and health of politics in the Union Territory.
