| 2 terrorists killed in Anantnag chance encounter | | |

Srinagar, Sept 7: Two terrorists were shot dead in a brief gunfight in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, police said.
The police said the militants were killed in a chance encounter in Thajiwara, Bijbehara area of Anantnag.
"Two terrorists neutralised in a chance encounter by Anantnag Police in Thajiwara, Bijbehara area of Anantnag?,? a police tweet said. Further details shall follow. The identity of the slain could not be established immediately.
The gunfight broke out a day after two local militants who were allegedly involved in the killing of two Territorial Army soldiers were shot dead in the same district. |
