Reality contrary to Govt's claims over wiping out corruption: Rattan Lal Gupta
9/14/2022 11:36:03 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 14: Coming down heavily against the government for not doing enough to control corruption, Rattan Lal Gupta JKNC Provincial President Jammu asserted that the claims made by those sitting at helm about wiping out corruption are contrary to the ground reality as rampant corruption has marred governance in J&K with recent instances of wrong doings in recruitment of SIs and FAA.
The senior NC leader was while interacting with party functionaries of Block Dansal of Nagrota Constituency at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan Jammu. He said that LG's administration has accomplished nothing on ground to end corruption although it is trumpeting day and night over false claim about end of corruption.
The visiting party workers apprised the senior NC leader about the hardships being faced by the people of Block Dansal in absence of basic amenities. There is acute shortage of power and water supply in the area.
Rattan Lal Gupta accused the present government of Jammu and Kashmir for its failure to ensure delivery of basic amenities like availability of frequent supply of power and water to general public. He said that people were being subjected to immense suffering for want of basic amenities in absence of popular government in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that due to lack of vision, anti policies of people of the government, people of J&K are facing a crisis like situation with each segment of society feeling abject neglect.
"Today the youth of Jammu and Kashmir were the worst victim of discriminatory policies of the government. They were feeling let down and betrayed. Despite promise of 2 crore jobs every year, the Central Government has failed to fulfil its promise after coming to power. Ironically the graph of unemployment going high due to lack of job avenues is an open secret that reflects BJP's utter failure on this very significant front too," he lamented.
Giving patient hearing to the party workers, the Provincial President assured them for taking up their issues related to basic amenities with the authorities concerned for early redressal of their issues.
Rattan Lal Gupta assured that the National Conference will continue to fight for the rights of the people of J&K with prime focus on safeguarding the land and jobs rights, which the incumbent government in J&K is trying to snatch away through various clever tactics. He asked people of Nagrota Constituency to strengthen the hands of Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah as the National Conference alone can steer Jammu and Kashmir to peace, progress and political stability.
Among others who were present in the meeting include: Sheikh Bashir Ahmed Provincial Secretary Jammu, Brij Mohan Sharma Vice President Jammu Province, Shamim Begum DDC Dansal, Dilshad Malik Zone Vice President,Rakesh Singh Raka Zonal Vice President, Noor Jahan, Mohinder Kumar Rana, Omkar Singh District Secretary Jammu Rural A, Junat Ali, Amzad Beigh, Saraj Din Block President Dhansal, Shakeel Beigh, Mohd Farid, Fiyaz Mohd and others.
