| Gandhi Nagar Police arrest thief, recover golden items worth lakhs | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 14: Gandhi Nagar Police on Wednesday arrested a thief and recovered gold items worth Rs 1.75 lakhs from his possession.
Officials said a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Gandhi Nagar regarding theft of gold items in the area under its jurisdiction. "On the receipt of this information, a Case FIR No. 160/22 U/S 457/380 IPC got registered at P/S Gandhi Nagar and investigation got started," they added.
After this dedicated Police team of PS Gandhi Nagar led by SHO PS Gandhi Nagar Inspector Pankaj Sharma assisted by PSI Sonu Choudhary under the overall supervision of SDPO South Sachit Sharma was constituted. After strenuous efforts and after connecting various leads finally rounded up a suspect Manish Kumar @ Monu s/o Lt Davinder Kumar R/O Navi colony Shergarh Gadigarh Jammu. During intensive questioning, accused confessed his involvement in the above case and stolen gold items worth Rs 1.75 lakhs were recovered upon his disclosure."
The overall operation was done under the supervision of SP South Mamta Sharma. |
