Package employees continue their strike for relocation | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 17: While reiterating the demand for relocation outside Kashmir, the PM Package employees staged protest demonstrations at various Pandit transit accommodations in Kashmir. The package employees are protesting for the last 126 days in support of genuine demand of their relocation outside the Kashmir valley. The leaders of the protesting employees are stressing that they cannot live and perform their duties under perpetual fear, panic and duress across Kashmir as the ground situation is not conducive for their living and working in Kashmir valley. The agitating Kashmiri Pandit package employees have also urged the LG administration that they should not be coreced to resume their duties back in valley as the situation in Kashmir at present is not favourable for their living and they are not satisfied to work in Kashmir due to selective killings. The protestors further said that the government should sincerely accept the only demand of the package employees for relocation outside the Kashmir valley as it is the question of their survival. Meanwhile, one of the protesting package employee emphasized that the government should immediately attach all package employees to Relief Commissioners' Migrant Office Jammu and utilize their services at various migrant schools, relief counters and its other allied wings. However, other speakers on the occasion stressed that the package employees will continue their stir till their genuine demand of relocation is fulfilled by the government. |
