| NYK organizes Poshan Maah at several villages of Jammu | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 21: Nehru Yuva Kendra Jammu has been celebrating National Nutrition Month (Rashtriya Poshan Maah) across the Jammu district from 1 September to 30th September, 2022.NYK Jammu organized programme in collaboration with Anganawadi & ASHA workers and local Health Department in identification and refer of sever acute malnutrition for initiation of treatment and minimise in the risk of complications. All possible efforts should be made in convergence with concerned agencies.
National Youth Volunteers have motivated the villagers on the issues of Malnutrition, importance of breast feeding, promotion of Kitchen gardens in collaboration with District Administration, Anganwadi, ASHA Workers for effective implementation. In this connection the volunteers of Nehru yuva Kendra Jammu has organized various activities in collaboration with education and health departments. National youth volunteer Shallu Kumariand Tarun Dutt Bali from Marh, Sahil Sharma and Shveeta Sharma from Nagrota, Priya Chib from Mandal at village Sum and Sumriti Slathia from Samba at village Gurha Slathia had organized different activities like awareness and door to door campaign, quiz and painting competition, poster making, essay and slogan writing, organization of seminars, lectures and discussion by eminent resource person on focused area of Poshan Maah. NYV'S also aware the people about the practice of yoga and importance of balanced diet in their meal. |
