Cong leaders trying to prove Vikar Rasool as a failure! | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 21: Even as newly appointed Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief Vikar Rasool Wani has preferred loyalty toward the Congress party at the cost of his political mentor Ghulam Nabi Azad, some leaders in the party are creating hurdles to prove Vikar Rasool as a failure. Highly placed sources said that a group within the Congress is trying to create an impression that Vikar Rasool is a loyalist of Ghulam Nabi Azad so he should not be allowed to work smoothly. “As all loyalists of Ghulam Nabi Azad have quitted the party Vikar Rasool Wani is feeling isolated”, sources said and added that instead of supporting Vikar Rasool most of the Congress leaders are trying their best to prove him as a big failure to take control over the party. As reported earlier it was all due to recommendations of Azad that Vikar Rasool Wani was appointed as J&K Congress Committee chief despite opposition by the rival faction headed by former PCC president Ghulam Ahmed Mir. After Azad quit Congress, Vikar Rasool Wani has started attacking his former mentor. Wani has launched an offensive against his former mentor. Wani has accused Ghulam Nabi Azad of playing “immoral politics” Wani, who was always seen as being close to Azad in the J&K Congress, said betraying the Congress after 50 years was playing immoral politics. He accused Azad of never giving him any idea about parting ways with Congress. |
