Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 13: All parties United Morcha (APUM) has appealed to the people to remain vigilant about their electoral rights în view of the hidden Political vested interests of ruling BJP , to enroll lakhs of ineligible outside voters în Jammu and Kashmir , through backdoor, against the basic spirit of election Laws.
A meeting of All parties United Morcha was held în Jammu today which was attended by the representatives of Congress,National Conference, PDP,CPIM,CPI,IDP etc to discuss the latest Political situation, especially în the wake of attempts to enroll non genuine outside voters to dilute the verdict of genuine voters în Jammu and Kashmir besides allowing sale of Beer and Other such bevereages on provision stores în urban areas.
The meeting was Chaired by Sheikh Abdul Rehman Ex- MP attended by Ravinder Sharma (Congress), Rattan Lal Gupta (NC), Virinder Singh Sonu (PDP), Com Kishore Kumar(CPIM), Narinder Khajuria, I D Khajuria (IDP/ Convenor APUM), Shaheed Saleem Mir.
Hitting out at the BJP for its efforts to enroll maximum outside voters ,since it has lost trust on the local voters , they cautioned the people to be vigilant about their electoral rights and keep a watch on the revision of voters excercise.
The people should not allow ineligible and bogus voters to be enrolled, just for vested interests of ruling BJP, since it is only BJP which is defending illegal actions of administration ,clearly demonstrating the nexus. Even BJP was defending the illegal and arbitrary orders of D C Jammu, till late nght, which has been withdrawn ,under public pressure and being contrary to Law.
However such attempts shall not stop here and the ruling BJP shall try to indulge în illegal and fradulent enrollment of voters for vested political intrests at the cost of genuine voters of respective assembly constituencies.
This is game plan of BJP to dilute the power of local voters, especially în Jammu region, since they (BJP) feel Pulse of the large scale resentment amongst the local voters here, due to unprecedented price hike, record unemployment and anti people decisions.
They also lashed out at the decision of JK govt to allow sale of beer and other such drinks on the departamental stores în Jammu and kashmir which is against the wishes and interests of people în both regions .
They said people are totally against this decisions, as future generations will be spoiled. said that Jammu is recognised as a pilgrim destination în the country în view of holy vaishodevi shrine.
The United Morcha decided to unitedly fight against wrong decisions of the governmant and protect the rights of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
