Security forces cut short terrorists' survival rate in Kashmir | | | Agencies
Jammu, Oct 22: The “all-out campaign” launched by the security forces to kill all active terrorists yielded encouraging results because nearly 150 terrorists have been eliminated so far this year in Kashmir Valley alone. These terrorists were eliminated in almost all parts of the Kashmir Valley in different encounters. Furthermore, the survival rate of active terrorists is also drastically decreasing as a result of strengthening the intelligence network and this campaign. Security forces have eliminated a number of newly recruited terrorists in different areas of Kashmir Valley which is a clear indication that their (terrorists') surviving rate is drastically decreasing due to the comprehensive campaign launched by the forces. Out of a total of nearly 150 terrorists eliminated this year, 80 were killed within three to six months of their joining terror ranks. Reports said that due to enhanced human intelligence, technical intelligence, and focused operations, the surviving rate of terrorists is drastically decreasing. Majority of the terrorists got neutralized within just three to six months of their joining terror ranks. Sources said that people are sharing information with the security forces. Reports said that recent killing of a hybrid terrorist who was directly involved in throwing a grenade on non-local labourers in which two migrant workers from Uttar Pradesh were killed is indication of people sharing information about active terrorists. Imran Ganie, a hybrid terrorist of Lashkar-e-Toiba, was arrested by J&K Police on Tuesday, October 18, for his alleged involvement in the killing of two migrant workers from Uttar Pradesh in Harmain village of Shopian. |
