Kishtwar police arrested five notorious drug peddlers

KISHTWAR, Oct 26: Kishtwar Police in it's continuous drive against the anti-social elements, detained five more notorious drugs smugglers from different locations of Kishtwar District and recovered Charras like substance 137 Gms. & 03 Gms Heroine like substance
As per the details available with Early Times, Kishtwar Police developed a specific information related to sale of narcotics drug in kishtwar town and accordingly special Nakas were established at different locations of Kishtwar.
Different team comprising of PSI Rahul Sharma, PSI Manmeet Singh and SI Mohd Shafi headed by SHO PS Kishtwar Inspector Syed Abid Hussain Shah Bukhari under the supervision of Dy. SP Hqrs Kishtwar Ashish Gupta were successful in arresting 05 drug peddlers from Old wine Shop, Busstand, Hidyal Chowk and Om Mehta road from whose possession Charras (Cannabis) like substance weighing about 137 gms and Heroine (Chitta) like substance 03Gms was recovered.
The arrested person have been identified as Touseef Qayoom S/o Ab Qayoom R/o Sarkoot Kishtwar, Baber Hussain S/o Bashir Ahmed R/o Saroor Kishtwar, Arjun Kumar S/o Vijay Kumar R/o Berabatta Kishtwar, Bhavesh Sharma S/o Kamal Nain R/o Berabatta Kishtwar & Momin Kamal S/o Asgar Ali Kamal R/o Kamal Mohalla Kishtwar
Accordingly four separate FIRs viz FIR No 258/2022, FIR No. 259/2022 , FIR No 260/2022 & FIR No. 262/2022 under relevant sections of law have been registered at PS Kishtwar and investigation taken up to find out backward and forward links.
SSP Kishtwar Shafqat Hussain Batt-JKPS while giving tough message for drug peddlers added that there is no space for Drug Peddlers in Kishtwar. Drug peddlers should shun the path of spoiling our generation and must return to mainstream otherwise they will be dealt with Iron hand.*
