Govt wasting tax-payers’ money, time on B2V programme sans any outcome: Rattan Lal
10/26/2022 10:46:51 PM

Early Times Report

JAMMU, Oct 26: Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) has castigated the Govt for wasting crores of rupees from the tax-payers’ money on the so much hyped ‘Back to Village Programme’ running presently in Phase-4. He said that all the previous three phases and the ongoing phase have miserably failed to produce any substantial result.
In a statement issued here today, Rattan Lal Gupta said that no outcome of the so called outreach programme is visible on ground despite the tall claims made by the Bharatiya Janata Party Govt at the Centre and the Union Territory Administration.
Terming the B2V programme a total failure, the senior NC leader said that even amounts sanctioned for central sponsored schemes during the first three phases have not been fully utilized more than 50 per cent due to poor monitoring mechanism. He asserted that the programme has turned out to be a total eye wash by the government to befool the people. Moreover, the Administration has failed to resolve the burning issues likely unemployment, farmers, daily wagers and many more raised and registered during the first three phases, he lamented. He urged the Administration to first review the result or outcome of the earlier three phases and only thereafter proceed further with the so called mega outreach programme.
The senior National Conference leader asserted that it is really an irony that not even 50 per cent of the last Capex Budget has been utilized till date which reflects Government’s miserable failure on all fronts leaving the people of this Union Territory to fend for themselves. He said that the present regime has miserably failed to stand on the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Asserting that only National Conference has the capability to address the pressing issues of the people, Rattan Lal Gupta asked party workers and activists to remain among the people at the grass roots level and address their concerns besides making them aware of the party’s achievements during its governance so that they vote for the NC candidates whenever Assembly elections are held.
