New Delhi, Oct 27: Congress on Thursday accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of blowing away Rs 490 crore on advertisements in 17 months during COVID-19 pandemic. 'Ye chhota recharge bahut chatur hai', the Congress wrote on twitter. "Kejriwal blew 490 crores on advertisements in just 17 months amid the Corona epidemic," a tweet on Congress' official Twitter handle read. "Ads, ads and just ads. This is the model of Kejriwal. Don't work, promote too much. Manage the media, it's done," another tweet by Congress read. The Congress further accused the media of never asking questions posed by the public from Arvind Kejriwal during his press conferences. Earlier this year in July, a Right to Information (RTI) application revealed that the AAP government's advertisement expenditure has been rising. The report noted that the total money spent by the Delhi government on 'Advertisement and Publicity' and 'Other Charges' went up by 44 times between 2012-13 and 2021-22. |
