It’s time to unfollow AAP, say celebrities | | | Agencies
New Delhi, Oct 28: After music composer Vishal Dadlani posted a cryptic tweet about ‘religion having no place in governance,” actors Gauahar Khan and Nakuul Mehta too have accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of trying to play a religious card for political gains. It’s in place to mention here that Arvind Kejriwal earlier this week had asked the Central Government to include the pictures of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi on currency notes claiming that it would help the economy. Actress Gauahar Khan wrote on Twitter: “Alas a leader who I thought was focused on development has fallen prey to the race of winning in politics. Religion is used only by the weakest kind of politicians. The greed of wanting to win a state election can make u so different. #sad Time to unfollow.” Another actress Gul Panag, who had once contested a Lok Sabha election on an AAP ticket, had tweeted, “Whether it’s a means to an end or an end in itself - bringing religion into everything, is a game everyone will play now.” Another actor Nakuul Mehta tweeted, “And they all fall down.. eventually.” Music composer and singer Vishal Dadlani, a known supporter of the party and Kejriwal, also subtly criticised them on social media. The actors who openly used to support Aam Admi Party and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal have criticized hism for trying to use religion for political gains and have warned him that his party would pay for adopting double standards in the forthcoming elections in Delhi. |
