SSP Benam Tosh stressed the need for honesty | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, Nov 4: As part of Vigilance Awareness Week-2022 and with a view to increase awareness about the perils of corruption , impressive ceremony was organized by IRP at 19th battalion headquarters Kathua in which hundreds of officers & officials pledged to foster a culture of honesty and to eradicate corruption. SSP Benam Tosh Commandant IRP-19th battalion administered the pledge of honesty to all the officers and officials present in the ceremony. Among the gazetted police officers who pledged to maintain highest standards of transparency and honesty included SP Diwakar Singh, Deputy SP Shabinder Singh and Deputy SP Deepak Tufchi. Speaking on the occasion, SSP Benam Tosh stressed the need for honesty in every sphere of life to eradicate corruption of all modes. He said that officers and officials have taken oath not to accept bribes or offer bribes and have resolved to promote honesty, ethics & values. They have also pledged to ensure that there would be no corruption, no frauds in the offices and accountability, probity, transparency and fairness would be maintained during discharge of official duties and public dealings. Apart from this, they have pledged to create awareness among masses against corruption. Benam Tosh further said that corruption has been one of the major obstacle to economic, political and social progress and development of our country and is a big challenge to overcome. He told that mechanism for lodging complaints against corrupt elements is already in place and people should come forward to lodge bribery- related complaints so that the entire society is made corruption free. |
