| 625 police officials promoted in Kashmir | | |

Srinagar, Nov 6: As many as 625 officials of Jammu and Kashmir Police have been promoted to next grade on the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) on Sunday.
Additional Director General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar on the recommendations of DPC has approved the promotions of 206 Head Constables and 419 Constables to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspector and Senior Grade Constables respectively who have their line and seniority with Kashmir zone. Out of 206 HCs, 50 HCs have been formally promoted to the rank of ASI. The formal promotion orders in respect of 156 HCs shall be issued after qualifying their pre-promotion course.
ADGP Kashmir has felicitated the promoted officials and their families and has expressed hope that they will strive to work hard for the interests of the general public in maintenance of peace and tranquility in Jammu and Kashmir. |
