DAP launched to restart development era in J&K: Azad | | | Early Times Report
Doda, Nov 6: Former J&K chief minister and president of Democratic Azad Party (DAP), Ghulam Nabi Azad on Sunday said that his party has been launched with a purpose to restart the development era in the Union Territory. Talking to various delegations that called on him here, Azad spoke about the three shift work culture introduced by him during his short tenure as Chief Minister of J&K and how that culture was dumped by the successive regimes after 2008. He said that the DAP has been launched with a purpose to restart development so that all the problems being faced by the people are sorted out. Azad couldn’t address the public meeting scheduled at Banjwa today due to the inclement weather conditions. However, the deputations from various blocks of Doda, which included people from all walks of life, informed Azad about the problems and difficulties faced by them during the past few years. They discussed issues like deficiency of medical staff and doctors, slow pace of work at Doda medical college and the increasing unemployment rate in the most backward area of Jammu and Kashmir. They urged him to intervene and ensure some substantial relief to the suffering people of Doda. The delegations were assured of all possible help by Azad. |
