JKTAC holds monthly meeting | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 6: JKTJAC holds monthly meeting, raises burning issues of the teaching fraternity Jammu Kashmir Teachers' Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) held monthly meeting at Udhampur today on 06.11.2022 under the leadership of UT President Vinod Sharma. The meeting was attended by by the JKTJAC representatives from all the eleven zones of the district. While speaking on the occasion Vinod Sharma highlighted the genuine issues of the teaching fraternity and sought the attention of the government for the resolution of the same. He demanded the provision of comprehensive transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT scheme who have been working in the same schools for last more than 20 years. He said that even High Court and CAT has issued directions that after their regularisation as General Line Teachers ReT teachers be transferred within the district but still they are not considered for transfer. He said that incentives should be given to those teachers who serve in far flung areas and not to those who stick in cities. He also sought the intervention of Director School Education Jammu towards the process of rationalizing the teaching staff wherein Principals are filling Posts in their own staff crowded schools and not considering the shortage of staff in under staff Primary and middle schools which is a matter of great concern. Other demands raised in the meeting were: Allocation of substantive posts to the teachers Grade II as per their seniority, consideration of mutual transfer cases of 3rd teachers, ReTs appointed under Order No. 635, ReTs appointed under clear vacancies like that of Teachers Grade II/III; Filling Posts of ZEOs/Principals/Headmasters in headless zones/schools of theUT; DPC of teachers to masters as same hasn't been done since 2014 thereby leading stagnation, Regularisation of ReTs who have completed 5 years ReT period and conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II/III, Conversion of headteachers posts into non plan posts of masters to resolve the salary issue of the masters, Provision of release of more than two years arrears of Teachers/ masters as same couldn't be released in the last financial year as permission in this regard was awaited from the finance department; and sanctioning of posts (Headmasters) and other staff in hanging high schools upgraded under RAMSA during 2014 and onwards. Others who also spoke on the occasion were:Sham Parkash, Sukesh Khajuria, Pritam Goswami, Ravinder Singh Rathore, Shamsher Singh, Balvinder Singh, Rakesh Singh, Swarn Singh,Suresh Sharma, Raman Kumar Sharma, Sandeep Sharma, Sham Singh, Ranjit Singh, Som Raj, Parshant Sharma, Anuradha Sharma, Pama Chand, Binder, Gopal sharma, Shamsher Manhas, Sudesh Kumar, Pankaj Thakur, Ravinder Atri, Jagdish Sharma, Ramesh Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Ram Paul,Vinay Sharma, Chain Singh, Vandana Goria, Ruchika, Sonika Sharma and others. |
