Mistakes Rectified
11/7/2022 11:16:46 PM

Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his recent speech in poll bound Himachal Pradesh once again reminded the country that Articles 35-A and 370 were mistakes of former Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru and his party Congress carried it “in the lap for 65-years.”
Abrogation of both these articles has led to J&K witnessing unprecedented development since August 5, 2019, when J&K’s special status was done away with.
The scrapping of Article 370 has opened up J&K to the world and people have come to know what governance really means.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi led regime took a bold decision to change J&K’s 70-year long status-quo and merged the erstwhile princely state with the Union of India completely. And J&K people have been the biggest beneficiaries.
Since then J&K hasn’t looked back as it has embarked on the path of peace, prosperity and development. Pakistan stooges, who used to call shots till August 5, 2019, have been cut to size and have been shown their right place. The PM Modi led regime has ended all the disputes once for all and the ones who used to advocate Pakistan’s cause in Kashmir have been taken care off.
During the past three years, people of J&K have realized that Articles 370 and 35-A, were nothing but impediments in the path of J&K’s development and deprived the common people of the benefits which the residents of other parts of the country were eligible for.
Prime Minister Modi integrated J&K permanently by scrapping Articles 370 and 35A from the Constitution. To send a clear message to terrorists that they can’t get away with everything, PM Modi ordered the Indian Army to cross the line of Control and carry out surgical strikes inside the terrorist camps in Pakistan occupied Kashmir in 2016 after the terrorists had attacked an Army camp in North Kashmnr’s Uri area. To avenge the Pulwama terror attack, PM Modi gave his nod to Indian Air Force jets to penetrate deep into Pakistani territory and destroy the terrorist camps active in the region.
PM Modi has not only integrated J&K with the Union of India, he has also broken the back of terrorists by driving home a point that if they cast an evil on J&K they would have to pay a heavy price for it.
The actions taken by the Centre during the past three years have proven beyond doubt that Articles 370 and 35-A were big mistakes and PM Modi led regime has rectified these errors.
