Jammu, Nov 7: Extending auspicious Gurupurab greetings to all members of Jammu and Kashmir Intellectual Civil Society, New Delhi,Chairman, J&KICS, ShS.S.Sodhiurged everyone to follow the timeless teachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji for bringing spiritual upliftment and peace to the whole world. Addressing the members he said that the inspiring teachings of the venerable Guru Nanak ji guide us in creating a prosperous & harmonious society; how much ever one may advance in life, the true happiness can only come from inside with Guru Kripa. In his address, Sodhi reflected upon the 5 key Principles of Guru Vani –“ 1.Vaand Chhako: Sharing whatever God has given you with others and helping those who are in need 2. Kirat Karo: Means, make a living honestly. One should not exploit others to enjoy self-happiness. 3. Naam Japo: Chant the name of ‘True God’.4. Sarbatdaabhalaa: Ask Lord for everyone’s happiness.5. Speak the truth without any fear: Always speak the truth without any fear, standing firmly by truth is permanent. Stressing on the need to spread the message of harmony and oneness amongst all, Sodhi said that Guru Nanak Dev Ji gave a message of love and peace to the whole world and preached the same through his bani.Among his many teachings “Practising Sewa is essential for Society’s upliftment,” as Guru Nanak ji believed that those who are capable have the responsibility to take care of the needy. Heurged the educators of the world to contemplate upon Guru Nanak Devji’s teachings and inculcate the sense of sewa and gratitude amongstchildren to create a better world. |
