11/20/2022 10:25:44 PM

EARly times Report

JAMMU, Nov 20: The Bharatiya Janata Party, which created lots of hullabaloo over ensuring empowerment and safety to womenfolk has been exposed badly after failure of its campaign Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and the sufferings which the women community faced under its regime.
This was stated by Namrta Sharma, President Women Wing during a joining programme of AAP held at Govindpura, Chatha in Bahu constituency wherein she was invited as the Chief Guest. Scores of people hailing from different political parties embraced AAP considering the impressive ideology of the party and people-friendly policies to ensure public welfare. The event was organized by Sunita Kour, Sangathan Mantri and Sarpanch Kunti Devi, Mahila District President Central Jammu.
Taranjit Singh Tony, Chairman of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jammu and Kashmir for Administrative Engagement and Minority Affairs, and District Development Council (DDC) Member Suchetgarh presided over the programme.
Namrta Sharma slammed the ruling Government at the Centre over its phlegmatic attitude towards the plights of general public and indifferent approach to deal with the problems of the people with regard to civic issues, power, water and healthcare facilities. She said that the women are the most affected lot under the BJP regime because economic blunders committed by the this party’s government has devastated the household budget, security of the fair-sex is worst ever as compared to governments of any other political party, and under present regime there is nothing to offer to the women folks except uncertainty and sufferings.
President, Women Wing, AAP, J&K, said that entire world is looking at AAP Government’s initiatives in Delhi to provide fair deal to womenfolk as they are the most satisfied lot after the AAP government entered the power corridors in the National Capital.
Senior AAP leader Tony said the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao has not moved an inch and remained confined to posters of BJP. He said that BJP had miserably missed a chance to provide justice to the daughters and sisters of the country by implementing the aforesaid campaign in letter and spirit but as the people have understood by now that the saffron party has nothing to do with the public welfare rather it is looking for new methods and slogans to befool people on one pretext or the other.
Tony said, had the BJP remained serious on the issue of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, the AAP party would have been the first one to extend a hand of support but the motive of the saffron brigade was to galvanize the electorate and that’s it. He said that only AAP can fulfill the aspirations of the people and therefore people should not waste anymore time seeking justice from these directionless political outfits.
Prominent among those who were present in the joining programme include Sham Lal Bhagat District President Jammu Central AAP, Sarpanch Shashi Kumar, Sarpanch Tilak Raj, Sarpanch Shakti Kumar, AAP senior ST leader Saleem Choudhary, Mandeep Chouhdary, Naib Sarpanch Roshan Bhagat, Naib Sarpanch Bahadur Choudhary, Jyoti Vaid Provincial Vice President, Provincial Secretary Fancy, Nitika Talwar, Bharti, Amrit Ch, Nisha Rani, Sonika Randhawaa, SC President Suchetgarh Chaman Lal, Daljeet Kour, Panch Sunil Kumar, Daljeet Kour, Gandhi Singh, Capt Darshan, TT Singh, Kulveer Singh and Simrajeet Singh.
