Kashmiri student goes missing, case lodged | | | Agencies
Aligarh, Dec 10: A case has been lodged after a Kashmiri student of class 10th of Raja Mahendra Pratap City High School of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) went missing after leaving the campus, police sources said here on Saturday. Police sources said that Masroor Abbas, a resident of Sopore city in Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir, was a high school student and lived with his cousin Enayat Abbas Mallik in Nadeem Tarin Hall. "On Thursday morning he left on the pretext of going to school and did not return back. His cousin brother lodged a complaint at Civil Line police station through the proctor office," they said. Superintendent of Police (City) Kuldeep Singh Gunawat said that the class 10th student of City School of AMU went missing two days back and a case has been lodged. "During initial investigation it has been revealed that the student went to an ATM on Ramghat road where he withdrew Rs 5,000," he said. He said that in CCTV footage he could be seen going towards Aligarh railway station. "The matter is being investigated by the police and the missing student will be traced soon," he said. |
