Randhawa calls for building 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 14: Former Legislator and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vikram Randhawa has called for building 'Atmanirbhar Bharat'. The Former Legislator was interacting with a delegation from Gadigarh area of RS Pura Jammu South Assembly Segment, which came to met him to discuss some issues pertaining to the 'Atmnirbhar Bharat'. The residents of Gadigarh area are promoting 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' mission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi by doing own businesses, but are facing issues due to some departments, which are harassing them on one pretext or other. Randhawa further said that the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the need for self-reliance in critical technologies and called upon everyone to strive for building an 'Atma Nirbhar Bharat'. "Let us build a strong, stable, peaceful and prosperous India where there will be no poverty, illiteracy, gender and social discrimination," he said. Randhawa also highlighted the importance of evidence-based policymaking to ensure that governance is responsive to the changes and disruptions. He also called for constant rethink and readjustment of policies and programs as per emerging needs and requirements. Former Legislator underlined that the country holds tremendous potential and opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors. "To bring about the desired change, it is important that the government and private sector work together and build a better and stronger India," he said. "Reforms are a political process. Reforms should be appropriate for implementation at the ground level, must generate resources, and have the legitimacy and administrative capacity. Accountable and efficient governance should reach the last person," said Randhawa. "Reforms are not a one-stop-shop. Great reforms come from great activism. The Administration should truly look into the administrative capacity to form accountable and efficient reforms, so it reaches the last-mile. There is a loss of legitimacy. Nowadays the important reforms programs are not being discussed," said Former Legislator. He assured the visiting delegation of taking up their issues pertaining to the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' with the concerned authorities for early redressal. |
