Tiny Tots of APS Damana selected for 30th National Children's Science Congress -2022

JAMMU, Dec 15:National Children's Science Congress is conducted by Department of Science and Technology , Govt. of India, every year.It is a unique mini research programme that prompts children to think of some significant societal problem, ponder over its causes and subsequently try and solve the same using the scientific process. This involves close and keen observation, trying out various possible alternatives and arriving at an optimum solution using experimentation, field work, research and innovative ideas. The Children's Science Congress encourages a sense of discovery.
This programme has been conducted in several stages. First - District level, then State level and finally National level. 4 teams of APS Damana participated at District level and here two teams (one from senior & other from junior ) qualified State level. Akhshat Singh (VIII) and Sunidhi Manha (VIII)gave their innovative idea of using plastic for bricks and evaluators appreciated the concern of the students very much .The qualified team for National Level from Juniors Yashasvi Koul (V) and Vihaan Sharma (V) took the praises of all evaluators .They did the mini-research on Sacred Groves-Nurture the Nature under the guidance of Ms Anurita Koul (Astt Coordinator Pry Wing ). Chief Guest Mr SS Rathore Chief Education Officer and Mr Ashok Raina Dy CEO awarded the child scientists of APS Damana with a memento and Outstanding certificates at Tiny Tots Hr Sec School on 13 Dec 2022., Certificate of Appreciation was also awarded to Ms Anurita Koul for guiding the Child Scientists for the project.
State Academic Coordinator Mr Kuldeep Gupta and State Coordinator Mr Zaffar Ullah Khan and Chairman Coordinating Committee Dr Ashiq Hussain applauded the students very much .It is very proud moment for APS Damana that these two child scientists will represent Jammu region in Nationals which is to be held at Ahmedabad in the month of January.It is pertinent to mention Mrs Pushpinder Kaur Principal APS Damana and Mrs Shallu Kapoor Vice Principal has motivated and encouraged team to achieve this great success.
