| DHEW organises awareness program on women centric schemes | | |

REASI, Dec 26: District Hub for Empowerment of Women Reasi, in coordination with Tehsil Social Welfare Office on Monday organised an awareness programme on women centric schemes at Panchayat Panthal in the presence of local DDC Rajinder Kumar Mengi and PRIs of Panthal Panchayat.
Gender Specialist, Rita of DHEW - Mission Shakti, imparted detailed information to participate pertaining to Women centric schemes like Eligibility criteria, procedure to avail the benefits of different Government schemes like Restructured Marriage Assistance Scheme, ISSS, Sukanya Samridhi Yojana, Women Entrepreneurship Programme like PMEGP, Tejaswini, Women Development Corporation.
Officials of OSC Reasi explained the working of OSC and how the women can approach OSC to get access to justice.
Pamphlets regarding various women centric schemes were also distributed.
Shahnaz, craft teacher, Tehsil Social Welfare Office Reasi also awarded the scheme of pension and explained how to apply online and documents required for enrollment.
During the programme the baby kits were distributed to baby girls.
At the end of the programme, grievances of the women were also noted and they were assured to provide assistance with the help of the concerned Department. |
