| Man held with arms, ammunition in Kupwara | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Dec 26: Security forces on Monday arrested a person alongwith arms and ammunition in frontier Kashmir district of Kupwara.
Kupwara Police and Army arrested a person identified as Mohammed Azam Daniyal, a resident of Dhani Karnah on specific information that the individual is involved in smuggling of arms, ammunition and narcotics from across the border", a police statement said.
During the interrogation the accused led to the recovery of 1 Pistol, 2 Pistol Magazines and 43 Pistol rounds from the lawns of his house which he had kept buried under the soil", the statement reads.
"A case under relevant sections of Law has been registered and investigations taken up with more recoveries and arrests expected in the case", the statement added. |
