Jammu, Dec 30: Term-End Examinations of IGNOU being conducted smoothly across the region; Pro Vice Chancellor goes for surprise check.
The December 2022 Term-end Examinations of the Indira Gandhi National Open University for various Academic Programmes offered by the University have commenced from 2nd December 2022 and will conclude on 09th January 2023.
The University has established 834 Examination Centres including 18 overseas Centres and 85 Centres in Jails for Jail Inmates. Under Jammu Region, 28 Examination Centres have been established which include four Examination Centres in District Jail Kathua, District Jail, Ambphalla, District Jail Udhampur and Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal exclusively for Jail inmates and also one Examination Centre in Northern Command Udhampur exclusively for Army personnel. A total of 31,744 eligible students, who had filled their examination forms online under the Regional Centre Jammu, are appearing in the Term-End Examinations.
A Flying Squad team from the Regional Centre Jammu comprising of Prof. Satyakam, Pro-Vice Chancellor from New Delhi HQ., Dr. Sandeep Gupta, Regional Director Incharge and S. Tejinder Pal Singh, Deputy Registrar visited the Exam Centres in Samba-Kathua belt as a surprise check today and expressed their satisfaction about the examinations being conducted in a fair and smooth manner.
Dr. Sandeep Gupta, Regional Director Incharge informed that the examinations are being conducted smoothly across the region on the basis of feedback obtained from the Examination Superintendents, Observers and other field functionaries. Dr. Sandeep Gupta lauded the efforts of Examination Superintendents, Invigilation and other staff in ensuring smooth conduct of examinations keeping in view the huge strength of examinees appearing for exams in Jammu region.
