| Provide essential commodities to people residing in snow bound areas: Zeeshan | | | Early Times Report
MENDHAR, Jan 11: Zeeshan Rana, Additional Spokesperson J&K National Conference today raised serious concern over the problems being faced by the people residing in far flung areas of Poonch and Rajouri districts.
Pertinent to mention here that a large number of people residing in snow bound areas of Rajouri and Poonch, apprised the NC leader about erratic power supply, scarcity of drinking water, lack of health services, non-availability of ration as well as essential commodities in far-off areas of the district.
In a statement issued here today, the senior NC leader expressed great resentment against the administration for not ensuring essential commodities in advance in snow bound areas. He stated that the carelessness of authorities concerned can be gauged from the fact that not even stocking of ration has been made.
He asked the administration to take immediate cognizance of the public issues as these are of utmost importance. He said that the public was facing acute hardships due to non-availability of essential commodities after the snowfall in the hilly terrain of Rajouri and Poonch. He drew the attention of Lt Governor led State administration towards deficiencies in health sectors and sought immediate stocking of adequate quantities of medicines in the health institutions in view of the cut-off of several villages due to snowfall in various areas of Rajouri and Poonch districts.
Zeeshan Rana urged upon the administration to fulfill the shortcoming and make arrangements of adequate essential commodities and ensure availability of ration, cooking gas and kerosene oil in all snow bound areas of both the districts. |
