2 Cong leaders, Delhi-based intellectual orchestrated Lal Singh’s humiliation
1/25/2023 11:40:49 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 25: As the Bharat Jodo Yatra has almost covered the Jammu province some sane Congress leadership have realized that insulting and humiliating Choudhary Lal Singh proved counter-productive for the party in Jammu province.
The Lakhanpur episode where Choudhary Lal Singh was humiliated and insulted sent a wave of anger among residents of Jammu as people believed that Congress intentionally hurt the sentiments of Dogras.
The only pro-Jammu party which was invited in the Bharat Jodo Yatra was the Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan Party of Choudhary Lal Singh but he was humiliated at the venue to appease some radical groups of Kashmir.
Highly placed sources said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was ready to share dias with Choudhary Lal Singh but two Jammu-based Congress leaders and one self-proclaimed intellectual cautioned against allowing Choudhary Lal Singh to join the Yatra.
“The so-called intellectual, who is known for his anti-Hindu approach, is marching with the Yatra from Kanyakumari. The intellectual opposed allowing Choudhary Lal Singh to join the Yatra”, sources said and added that instead of listening to the suggestions of local leaders of Kathua organizers of the Yatra at the eleventh hours decided to humiliate Choudhary Lal Singh to appease radicals.
Secondly, a couple of Congress leaders were worried on day one when Choudhary Lal Singh announced joining the Bharat Jodo Yatra, sources said.
These leaders were afraid that Choudhary Lal Singh is a mass-based leader and he would dominate Yatra in the Jammu province so they devised a strategy to sabotage the whole thing.
