Rajasthan ranks first in the country with 18 sub-health centres per 1 lakh population | | | agencies JAIPUR, Feb 9: The State Government is tirelessly working towards realizing the vision of 'Nirogi Rajasthan'. In another major step towards this direction, Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot has given approval to open new sub-health centres at 502 gram panchayat headquarters in the state. Also, posts of 502 Women Health Workers (one at each centre) have been sanctioned for these centres. According to the proposal, a provision of up to Rs 30 lakh has been made for the construction of each sub-health centre. Till the infrastructure for new sub-health centres is ready, these centres will operate out of rented or alternative premises. With the opening of new sub-health centres, Rajasthan ranks first in the country with 18 sub-health centres on 1 lakh population.
