KVK conducts district level training on poultry development | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, Feb 13: On the directions of Government of J&K U.T, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Samba of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Jammu in association with Department of Animal Husbandry, Samba organized training programme on "Roadmap for Poultry Development in J&K" under UT-level training on holistic agriculture development programme. Dr. Sanjay Khajuria, Chief Scientist & Head, KVK Samba inaugurated the programme in association with Sanjay Verma, Chief Agriculture Officer, Dr. Rahul Dev, Chief Animal Husbandry and a large number of officers/officials from the Department of Animal Husbandry, Samba along with KVK Samba were present during the programme. Earlier, in his welcome address, Prof. Khajuria welcomed all the district officers as well as officers/officials from the DAH, Samba for their active participation during the programme. In his address to the participants, he briefed about the project "Roadmap for Poultry Development in J&K" under holistic agriculture development programme in detail. He further told that the main purpose of the programme is to prepare for the successful implementation of this project. He highlighted the significance of capacity building among the officers. He asked the officers of the department to work in coordination so that the desired results could be achieved. He assured of every type of technical help to the department from SKUAST Jammu especially from KVK Samba as and when needed. During the Programme, a detailed presentation was given by the Resource Person, Dr. Rahul Dev, CAHO, Samba. He briefed all the participants about the project formulation, execution as well as final outcome. He took queries of the participants and suitably answered them. A team of experts including Dr. Neena Pathak and Dr. Mamta Rani, VASs from DAH presented the expert lectures. While addressing the participants, Sanjay Verma, Chief Agriculture Officer, Samba urged upon participants to understand each and every aspect of the project so that it can be implemented in Samba District in an efficient way. Speaking on the occasion, Jitendar Kumar DAO, Samba urged upon the officers to work on a mission mode to make this project successful. |
