Dynastic Abdullahs' changed demography of J&K under a well knit conspiracy: Kavinder
2/15/2023 10:18:37 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 15: Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader has lambasted the National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah's statement that the BJP Govt wants to change the demography of Jammu and Kashmir and make it a Hindu Majority State and that Statehood would not be returned. He said that BJP Govt is only trying to correct the demographic character of Jammu and Kashmir which has been changed during the dynastic rule of Sheikh Abdullah under a well knit conspiracy. Moreover, the unprecedented development and progress is being made as UT besides law and order having been almost completely restored.
In a statement issued to media here today, Kavinder Gupta reminded Dr Farooq to conduct and analysis of the events that took place during their dynastic rule. He said that the people across the nation still remember how the demography in Kashmir was changed within days by ousting the aboriginal Kashmiri Pandits and non Muslims making them refugees in their own nation leaving their homes and hearths behind in the Valley. He reminded Dr Abdullah how he preferred to stay back in London when Kashmir was burning and Hindus were being hounded and killed in the Valley resulting in their massive exodus.
The senior BJP leader said that it was during the successive National Conference regimes in the erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir and Congress Govt at the Centre that under a well knit conspiracy to alter the demographic character of Jammu province multiple unauthorized colonies were allowed to mushroom across Jammu region with malafide intentions and lastly Roshni Act was brought to make all encroached lands authorized residential and commercial locations. He said that since Roshni Act stands declared null and vide the Govt is moving ahead accordingly.
Kavinder Gupta reiterated that the BJP Govt is fully determined to apply the corrective measures to undo the wrong doings of the National Conference and Congress in full coordination under a dangerous conspiracy that had far reaching impact not only on the demography of J&K but more than that on the security and integration of the nation. He reiterates that BJP is not changing the demographic character but correcting the demography that had been fiddled with by Sheikh Abdullah and his successors during their dynastic rule.
