DDC reviews PDD sector

RAJOURI, Mar 2: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today took a comprehensive review of the Power Development Department sector in Rajouri. During the review meeting, the DDC was informed that significant progress has been made in the completion of various projects under District Capex, PRI, DDC, BDC and SSY grants.
Under the District Capex, out of 131 projects allotted, all 129 have been completed, and an expenditure of 344.58 lakh has been incurred on these works. The projects included the construction of power substations, transmission lines, and other infrastructure facilities, which are essential for the development of the power sector in the district.
The DDC also reviewed the progress of works taken up under DDC, BDC, and SSY grants. It was informed that all the work taken up under these grants has been completed, and the expenditure incurred on these works has been accounted for.
The DDC emphasized the need to improve the quality of power supply and ensure uninterrupted power supply to the consumers. He directed officials to identify areas where the power supply is weak and take steps to strengthen the power infrastructure in those areas.
DDC said that the completion of all the projects taken up under various grants and schemes is a significant achievement for the power sector in the district.
The completion of these projects will help to improve the power supply and infrastructure in the district, which is essential for the economic development of the people. We will continue to work towards the development of the power sector and ensure that all the resources are utilized effectively for the benefit of the people, he added.
The DDC's comprehensive review of the power sector in Rajouri demonstrates his commitment to the development of the district and his concern for the welfare of the people.
