Winter Camp concludes with seminar on "Financial Literacy" at GCOE | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 4: Government College of Education, Canal Road, Jammu organised a seminar on "Financial Literacy" as NSS Winter Camp concludes. The event was a joint venture of GCOE and J&K Bank. During Winter camp various activities were carried out, On first day camp was inaugurated by Principal Prof. Aekta Gupta with motivational speeches followed by Symposium on Cultural Practices on sustainable Development in collaboration with JK Cultural Academy. Followed by Two Day workshop on Digital Marketing and Video Editing in collaboration with Ministry of Education, Govt of India to enhance the skill of volunteers. Besides these, cleanliness drive was organised in the Canal Head and college campus. Rally was organized in collaboration with Nature Club of the college, where students displayed posters and slogans on the theme of G20 and Energy Conservation. Various other activities were included in the Winter camp like, visit to Adopted Village in which Nukkad Natak, skits and Cultural programs, along with donation drive, Beautification and Face upliftment of college campus was done by coloring of stones, wall painting and Plantation Drives. Principal of the College, Prof. Aekta Gupta was the Chief Guest on the occasion of valedictory where a seminar on "Financial Literacy in collaboration with J&K Bank. Mr Gourav Sachdeva, Assistant Manager Marketing Team emphasised on various topics like basic concept of banking, security market, insurance and housing loans during the seminar. It was followed by lecture by Ms. Kriti, Mr Shubham and other officials who talked about Educational and other loans beneficial for students. Winter camp was organized by NSS PO Dr Shubhra Jamwal along with NSS team members Prof Sarita Dogra, Prof Neeraj Verma, Prof Seema Kumari and Prof Shapia Shameem and Prof Shalini Sharma. |
