Kavinder slams Rahul Gandhi for projecting India in poor light on foreign soil | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 6: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta today slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for projecting India in a poor light while delivering a lecture at the Cambridge University in London earlier this week. While speaking at the programme held here today, the senior BJP leader said that the Congress wanted to tarnish the image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the country with the help of its friends in far off foreign lands. Retorting to Rahul Gandhi's remark, Kavinder said "Rahul Gandhi is doing this work of hue & cry on foreign soil. Pegasus is in his mind. Under PM Modi's leadership, respect for India increased across the world." Kavinder said Rahul Gandhi just to hide his failures kept making such remarks. It seems he has taken a contract to defame India from a foreign land. His language, thoughts and work style are suspicious, he said and criticized him for presenting India as a place where democracy no longer exists and the judiciary has been compromised. "Attempts are being made from both inside and outside the country to tell the world that the Indian judiciary is in crisis. It is a deliberate attempt by some groups to malign the image of the country. But no campaign with ulterior motives can succeed in defaming India and its democratic setup." Kavinder asserted that the Congress is a sinking ship and the grand old party has no future as it has lost the credibility and faith of the people. It is left with the people who are walking with party leaders, he added. He said that Congress out of frustration is indulging in such acts for which this party has to pay a heavy price as the people are best judges and they are watching and gauging its misdemeanors for the last many years. |
