Man held for killing girl, buried body parts recovered in Budgam | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Mar 12: Police have arrested a man for allegedly killing a girl, chopping the body parts and burying them at different locations in central Kashmir's Budgam district. A police statement said that on March 8 one Tanveer Ahmad Khan of Soibug Budgam submitted an application stating that his 30-year-old sister (name withheld) left for the coaching classes on March 7 but did not return home. Police after registering a missing report started the investigation during which several suspects including one Shabir Ahmad, a resident of Mohandpora Budgam was rounded up. After sustained interrogation, Shabir confessed to having murdered the missing girl and hiding his crime. The culprit had cut the body into pieces and buried them at different locations, police said. The police added that as per Shabir's disclosure, the parts have been recovered from various places of the district. Medico-legal formalities have been done and the investigation is on, they added. |
