Sources said the case is being probed from all angles and that the “administrative breach” is not being ruled out. “There are allegations against some officials but things will be cle red only after a thorough enquiry,” said a senior official on the condition of anonymity. Kiran Patel, who impersonated a PMO official, obtained Z plus security and visited sensitive areas in Jammu and Kashmir. "When Srinagar police caught Patel from room number 1107 at Hotel Lalit in Srinagar on March 2, he was accompanied by two more persons," said a senior official on the condition of anonymity. Now, a team of Kashmir police and the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) are probing how Patel managed to get special government services, including the cellphone number. Meanwhile, as per the sources, a team of Kashmir police arrived in Ahmedabad on March 15 as Patel is a resident of the Ghodasar area and where he is believed to have run some business firm. The sources said the joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police and Gujarat ATS officers visited a printing press in Gujarat where from the visiting cards were printed. The official sources said the visiting cards as per the preliminary inquiry were printed in February. |
