Biryani Scam: JKFA cooperating with ACB in investigation | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 25: Although the Anti Corruption Bureau has registered a case in Biryani scam, some officer bearers of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) claimed that some of their rivals are floating fake stories regarding the infamous scam. Former Captain of Indian national Football team and Direct member of the Executive Body of the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association, Majeed Kakroo claimed the amount of Rs. 4306500 has neither been released by the J&k Sports Council nor it had been drawn.” “For last eight months the vested interests have been spreading this kind of negative campaign on social media as well. The reason behind this is to occupy the key posts of J&K Football Association without facing the election process as they don’t have a support from the associated/ Direct members across the J&K UT who have a voting rights only as per constitution of JKFA. However the matter is being probed by the ACB and the things will be cleared within short span of time, and JKFA is extending full cooperation in the investigation,” Kakroo said in a handout. |
