Jewelers Awareness Program organized by BIS-JKBO | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 28: A Jewelers Awareness Program was organized by BIS Jammu office on 27 March 2023 at BIS Jammu Office. The program was attended by more than 100 jewellers and Presidents of Sarafa Bazar of various parts of Jammu City. All the information pertaining to mandatory HUID mark was disseminated. Tilak Raj, Director & Head informed that jewelers will not able to sale old hallmarking jewellery from 1st April 2023, as per Govt. of India official Gazette no. 16,17,19 and Amendment No,1 date 3 March 2023. Sh. Hitesh Yadav, Assistant Director, BIS-JKBO has detailed presentation with respect of the process of hallmarking and how to obtain BIS Licence vide NSW window. The jewellers were also shown the process of testing of jewellery at BIS JKBO Referral Lab at Jammu. Jewellers were also updated the use of BIS Care app and how to check the geniuses of HUID mark through BIS CARE app. The jeweller appreciated BIS initiatives and requested BIS to organized more awareness program in Sarafa Bazar itself. |
