Udhampur, Mar 28: Some of senior residents and registrars deputed at Government Medical College Udhampur are allegedly indulging in private practice despite availing non-practicing allowances from the department.
Sources said that doctors at certain positions in the Medical College which are not at all authorised for private practice are also seen examining patients privately after charging hefty fee from them for the same services which they can provide free of cost at the Medical College. When contacted Principal of GMC Udhampur, Dr. Mrituanjay said that strict action will be taken against any doctor found violating norms by indulging in private practice. |
