G-20 meeting in Srinagar
4/12/2023 10:57:16 PM

As Srinagar gears up to host G-20 meeting next month, Pakistan is trying to vitiate the atmosphere by issuing statements to express strong indignation over India’s decision to hold the G-20 Tourism Working Group meeting in J&K’s summer capital.
The neighboring country has once again started harping its old raga about the UN resolution of 1948-49.
It appears that Pakistan is finding it hard to digest that the UN resolutions have become irrelevant and the international community has rejected them.
When J&K’s special status was revoked on August 5, 2019, Pakistan knocked the door of every country to seek support for getting UN resolutions implemented. But the Pakistan leadership had to eat a humble pie as the international community made it amply clear that J&K is an internal matter of India.
All the doors were shut on Pakistan. Despite facing defeat on all the fronts Pakistan is still trying to keep the conflict alive by sending terrorists into J&K and raking up the issue on the international forums.
Since the day India has attained the G-20 Presidency, Pakistan has become restless. The proposed meeting of the G-20 working group to be held in Srinagar, summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, has sent Pakistan into tizzy.
It has been objecting to it but none of the G-20 countries have paid any attention towards the tantrums being thrown by Pakistan. The G-20 member countries have ignored so-called concerns being raised by Pakistan.
India attaining the G-20 presidency has been one of the important victories for the country on the diplomatic front. It has vindicated that the developing countries recognize India as one of the important stakeholders in the world economy and is among one the fastest developing nations in the world.
India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership has scaled new heights and has driven home a point that no one can stop India from progressing. At present India is the 5th largest economy in the world. It has surpassed Britain and is competing with the bigger economies like China and the United States.
The G-20 working group meetings being held in different states across the country are going on smoothly and Srinagar is looking forward to host the representatives of the most powerful countries in the world.
