Yasha Mudgul reviews development scenario at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, Apr 15: Commissioner Secretary, Cooperatives Yasha Mudgul, who is also Incharge Secretary of the district, today convened a meeting of all departmentsto review progress on developmental activities being undertaken under different flagship schemes in the district.
Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Krittika Jyotsna, Senior Superintendent of Police, Dr Vinod Kumar, Regional Director Survey and Land Records, Nawab Din, Additional District Development Commissioner, Ghan Shyam Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Joginder Singh Jasrotia, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Rafiq Ahmed Jaral, Chief Planning Officer, Mudassir Yaqoob Zargar and other senior officers of various departments attended the meeting.
Commissioner Secretary took comprehensive review of district Capex budget 2021-22 and 2022-23, financial and physical progress under district Capex budget including CSSs. She apprised that a total of 19397 works of different sectors have been completed so far.
Secretary directed the concerned departments to mobilize their men and machinery for effective implementation of all schemes and coverage of 100% eligible beneficiaries under all schemes.
While reviewing the road wise progress under RDD and PWD sectors, Commissioner Secretary directed the concerned authorities to expedite the progress of work and achieve the targets set by the government as per the timeline.
The district heads of various departments apprised the Commissioner Secretary about the status of different schemes taken up by their respective departments and their status as on date.
Yasha Mudgul directed all the officers to work in coordination for better results at the grass root level. She also stressed the need for creating maximum awareness about the self employment schemes among the unemployed youth so that they could set up their own income generating units for economic prosperity.
Secretary Cooperatives stressed upon all the concerned Officers to gear up the process for completion of targets and utilization of 100 % funds well before the end of financial year.
She directed the Deputy Registrar Cooperative to organize awareness camps across the district in coordination with other allied departments to scale up the penetration of people especially women folk in formulating Cooperative societies.
She expressed satisfaction over implementation of several government schemes in the district. She appreciated the efforts of district administration for effective implementation of government schemes on ground. She stressed on generating self-employment opportunities. She directed the district officers of various departments to organize awareness programmes regarding the self-employment schemes.
Earlier, Commissioner Secretary also visited Government Higher Secondary School Jaganoo where she inaugurated Gym in the school premises and interacted with the students and staff members. Commissioner Secretary also interacted with DDCs and BDCs.
DDC Chairperson, Udhampur, Lal Chand and other BDCs, DDCs projected several demands and issues. While responding to their demands and issues, Secretary assured that all the issues will be resolved at the earliest.
Later, Commissioner Secretary visited the construction site of upcoming 200 bedded building in the premises of District Hospital Udhampur and inspected the ongoing works.
She directed the executing agencies to expedite work and mobilise their men and machinery to ensure that the ongoing works are completed within the stipulated timeline.
