CEO ‘KISAN Se’ hosts online interaction of Agro Officials, FPOs, farmers

DODA, Apr 15: District Administration Doda has cleared decks to launch the Holistic Agriculture Development Plan (HADP) in the district. A meeting in this regard was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Doda, in which officers from all the departments associated with agricultural activities participated along with online participants representing Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) of the district and farmers from across the district.
The HADP aims at holistic development of the agriculture sector by pushing agriculture and allied sectors to a new trajectory of growth with economy, ecology, and equity as its guiding pillars. The GI taging of the products, integrated farming, and handholding of the farmers for better produce and linking their products with fair market are some of the objectives of the HADP.
From 24th of April till 31st of August this year, officials of agriculture and allied departments shall visit each panchayat to formulate a holistic plan for that panchayat and its further compilation to draft district level plan.
An interaction of the farmers and members of FPOs with KISAN Se (an agricultural products branding company) was also held through virtual mode. CEO of KISAN Se Nitin Puri presented a detailed presentation on how the farmer’s product is launched in the national and international market with a brand keeping intact the producer’s details, with maximum benefit to Farmers avoiding middle man’s share.
DC has urged the departments to promote the signature products of our district like Rajma, Gucchi, Walnut, Lavender, etc. He has asked the departments involved to create awareness and build confidence among the farmer’s community so that the district can harvest the fullest, its potential in the agriculture sector.
The meeting was attended by CPO Doda, CAO Doda, DSHO Doda, AD Fisheries, AD floriculture, Representatives of Horticulture department, Members of FPOs, Farmers and other concerned.
