Jammu, Apr 22: An awareness Camp on HIV/AIDS, Voluntary Blood Donation and Drug De-addiction were organized by HIMALYA SEWA SANG, Jammu in Collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir AIDS Control Society, Department of Health and Medical Education at Kalka colony,Bahu Fort, Jammu.
A large number of Youth Population attended the camp from nearby areas. The resource person Mr. Suhail Sharma stressed upon the deadly consequences of HIV/AIDS and Drug addiction. The modes of Transmission of HIV virus and the means of its prevention, treatment and control were thoroughly deliberated in the camp.The participants were advised to refrain from drugs Abuse and from Intravenous Drug Injecting.They were requested to urge the local population to go for CBS Testing on voluntary basis.
The other speakers stressed upon the youth to get involved in the voluntary blood Donation. |
