Snag-hit CT Scan Machine at GMC Udhampur starts working | | | Early times report
Udhampur, May 1: The authorities concerned have taken cognisance of the news report published in ET as the snag hit CT Scan Machine at Government Medical College (GMC) Udhampur has been repaired and it has started working again. “I was waiting for the last some days for my CT Scan for which I was even preparing to visit some private diagnostic centre as the machine at GMC Udhampur was not functioning,” a lady who got her CT Scan done today told this reporter adding: “Now the same (CT Scan) has been done here itself and has saved my hard earned money using which now I may purchase medicines.” It is pertinent to mention here that ET on April 27 this year had published news item under caption ‘Four month on, CT Scan Machine non-functional at GMC Udhampur, Patients Suffer.’ Woes of the patients in the absence of the services offered by CT Scan Machine were highlighted in the news item while the hospital authorities have claimed that there was some technical snag responsible for non-functional of the CT Scan Machine at Govt Medical College Udhampur. The Machine is of old model and repair was not easy as many of its spare parts were not available easily in the market but somehow the GMC authorities have managed things and made the machine functional again |
