DC, MC president inaugurate Job Fair, enthusiasm among jobseekers | | | Early Times Report RAMBAN, May 27: Government ITI Ramban witnessed a massive turnout of young jobseekers as they registered for various job opportunities at the Job Fair organized by the District Employment & Counselling Centre. The Job Fair was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Mussarat Islam, along with the presence of President Municipal Council Ramban, Suneeta Sumbria, Assistant Director Employment Dr. Sushant Mahajan, Principal ITI Ramban Parvaiz Ahmed, CCO, and other officials. During the event, the Deputy Commissioner commended the initiative and encouraged unemployed youth to make the most of this opportunity. Addressing the concerns of jobless individuals, the DC urged participating companies to engage as many young people as possible to boost their career prospects. He also appealed to the unemployed youth to explore self-employment and entrepreneurial ventures, emphasizing the government's commitment to supporting them through the Mission Youth Programme. The President of Municipal Council Ramban emphasized the importance of recognizing and seizing the opportunities provided by the government while interacting with the participants. The Assistant Director Employment highlighted the challenges faced by youth in finding employment and urged companies to provide opportunities for youth to access various career options. The Job Fair saw approximately 300 job seekers applying on the spot for 47 vacancies offered by 11 employers. Over 30 applicants were shortlisted for these positions, and 5 candidates were even offered appointment letters on the spot. Additionally, the event also facilitated awareness and registration regarding various government schemes. |
